This is wonderful! There is a woman who runs a FB group that I am in that charges $10 to give people the "couponing rundown", it makes me cringe! All those people need to do is be in line behind any Scer and they'll more than likely get it for free! (And if they're behind me, they'll end up with coupons for stuff they're buying too!)

There's a woman in my area, many have heard of her... she charges $30 a person, minimum 10 people per class AND she gets you to sign up under her on swagbucks. She offers no new information that you wouldn't find a day sooner on SC... but some people don't know, so i try to spread the "DONT PAY!" mentality lol

More people should be willing to help others out, one of my friends paid $20 to learn how to coupon. I would have easily helped her out for free. (I found out after she had already paid the money)

I love this brag! Its true I see a lot of greed emerging with couponing in my area (empty tearpads, charging for "starter pack coupons" and shelf clearing) So it's so refreshing to remember why it is we got into it in the first place! way to go OP

Couponing is one of greatest things I've learnt and teaching others is truly a blessing.

I never have charged for what I can share for free......
So many shoppers stop me when I am coupon shopping, and if they have the time, as I always have the time, we go over the basics for them to learn. I have given stacks to some shoppers in london Drugs for them to see how it works, right there on the spot.....it was so neat to see the one lady who was fearful of the loss of her income as she was pregnant, and to hear from her a few times now on my facebook, as to how grateful she is for the envelopes of cpns I have given to her. had 7 x 3.00 ground beef WUB Hamburger Helper expiring dec 31. Gave them to her as I had already so much, and I knew she would put them to good use with 4 kids at home.

What I dont like is to feel slightly used and abused, by someone that I thought had become a girlfriend, who now is too busy to give me the time of the day.....after she has been supplied a lot of inserts, cpns and info for the past while.....sure she slipped a couples of Tims cards in my mailbox.. for the probably 100 Brandsaver inserts....but now that she can do it on her own, I am sad to feel if she does not need my spare inserts, or my info anymore, she has not stayed in contact........ak!!

Just want to add (since there are several other posts about it) I started couponing late last year. I took a class that cost me $10 (since then this particular group of ladies has now upped the price to $15) to learn how to coupon. I personally didn't think this was too bad of a price, as they gave you some coupons to start, as well as access to their website and FB page, which connected me to a lot of the freebies that I received! I certainly did NOT feel ripped off or disappointed in any way - and to tell the truth I would not have known where to go or who to talk to about it had i not gone to their class. I probably would have never started couponing, or signed up for SC!!

That being said, I certainly wouldn't have paid $30, and I would have refused to sign up under her Swagbucks just because she said?? That just seems like taking advantage of unsuspecting people.
