My Brag (no products involved! :D)

I started couponing when I was 4 months pregnant. My beautiful little girl turned 8 months on the 1st of February. I was so scared about being on mat leave and losing half my income but couponing has SAVED me and given me the luxury to worry less about money.

I decided to share my "wealth". I donated a giant diaper box of products to a woman with 5 kids in my neighborhood just before christmas. It was stuffed. I dropped it off wrapped and told her to open it whenever she wanted. I had only met her once before and that was to buy some baby clothes off of her. She then approached me after a request from a friend who was also in need, I donated another giant box of food this time.

She texted me with a giant WOW.

Her husband told me she was about to become my best friend.

Sure enough, she started to learn as much as she could from me and brought in a couple of friends. I get to see them post their steals and deals on facebook and know that MY luxury of not worrying has been passed to someone else now.

I've taught them to be confident with their policies, I've started their binders and helped them find more coupons, I've introduced them to my facebook group and my friends who help everyone. For FREE. My charge? Bring over a snack, hang out on my couch and keep me company.

And you know what? It feels freaking FANTASTIC.

There's so much GREED emerging in couponing... time to start sharing!



I challenged myself to ignore the super great deals for a few weeks. To NOT run out and try to get that freebie just because it was free. I challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone and give away a chunk of my stockpile, I challenged myself to find a way to GIVE instead of GET.

Gotta tell ya.... I love how couponing makes me feel now.

This is wonderful! There is a woman who runs a FB group that I am in that charges $10 to give people the "couponing rundown", it makes me cringe! All those people need to do is be in line behind any Scer and they'll more than likely get it for free! (And if they're behind me, they'll end up with coupons for stuff they're buying too!)

That was a weird situation... it was actually the woman's friend who asked her to see if I may be able to help another friend of theirs. A single mom with 2 kids and no food. I can't say no to that! pulls my heart strings! ;( lol
