As we all know – Target is coming soon – and I’m sure many of us are excited to see how competitive Target and Wal Mart will become. As smart shoppers that love coupons and great deals… I think we really need to band together and tell Target what they need to do at get a competitive edge over Wal Mart and get us Smart Canucks in to their store.

    1. Make sure they bring they’re instore coupons system to Canada (in the US you are able to Price Match, use a Target in-store coupon and a MF coupon)

    2. Suggest they have double coupon days

    3. (Can you think of anything else???)

Although I am pretty loyal to my local Wal Mart – because of how easy couponing is there – I would definitely jump ship and make that longer commute if Target gave me that couponing advantage. I don’t know how we could all come together and get these suggestions to Target, (digital petition or survey) but I think if we were able to voice are opinion with large numbers to back it… We may see some great things happen. Imagine the ripple effect this could have if it actually worked. I have dreams of couponing in Canada like you can in the US.

As my mother always says “if you don’t ask you don’t get… the worst thing you can be told is NO!”

Blessings & Love to you all

i think it would be better to wait for the announcement of any policy before making demands

anyways, i'm sure that trying to make demands won't be taken seriously at all. no company is ever obligated to take coupons. they set pricing and marketing policies based on many factors. they will do what they want, and if we don't like it, we can shop elsewhere.

It doesn't have to phrased as "demands" it can be as simply as we welcome you to Canada and are extremely excited, hoping that your coupon policies follow you into Canada. Here are some thoughts we have regarding Coupon usage and welcome your thoughts etc etc...with ton's of people signing this, it shows that it is just not a "select" few, but a large group of couponers who are serious and excited about coupon's

I agree that they already know what they are planning on doing here.

I also don't see them caring about losing business to walmart.
They don't consider themselves to be in the same class.
In the states they are a level above walmart & are more expensive.

I don't find target in the states to ever be more expensive than walmart ans their sales are way better IMHO. Plus their stuff is a better quality. Can't wait!
