I went to Canadian Tire on Dundas St and Wavell St in London to take advantage of the new government powersaver coupons that are available in many stores.
The program is virtually identical in products being redeemed as past years.

I got a set of two chandelier CFL bulbs with interchangeable bases.
Last year, they were $15.99 now they are $8.99 ( regular price) and I used a $3 off coupon to pay $5.99.
That is $10 less ( about 70% ) than I paid last year for the same items.

I also picked up a set of two 8 litre ultralight dry bags ( camping /outdoors) .
Normally, $9.99 each, I got two for that price because they were out of the packaging.
That is 50% off for lack of packaging a couple of minutes with a staff to make a tag.
