I have actually been a merchant with both Deal Find and Groupon. When you are buying from them you are technically buying a gift certificate, and the company that you trade them in to can't refund you your money directly because you bought it from Deal Find or Groupon, not through them, they get thier paycheck from the company so they would be claiming it for money they did not recieve, BUT dealfind or groupon WILL refund your money! They will just be making sure that the sushi place will be paying THEM back for the certificates that are returned. And I totally think that sushi place sucks crap for doing that.
