I've had one or two bad experiences using coupons, but for the most part the cashiers are pretty good. There are always going to be some difficult people in the world. Just pick your battles.

Yesterday, a cashier told me "one coupon per purchase meant one per transaction". I only said I thought it meant one per box. Strangely, this seemed to be a good enough explanation because she put my three coupons through.

I wish our cashiers here were like that. I try not to shop too much here. I'd rather make the drive. They have really great sales here sometimes, so now I take my kids with me and get them to go behind me so I can get more then 1 of something

This is one of the things I dislike about couponing, the potential to have to argue my point with a cashier or store who do not understand the proper use/intention of the coupon. It always makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable. So I hear you, if you have limited options and they are always like this, you're going to have an unpleasant experience.

This is one of the nicest things about couponing in the States. While there are issues in the US too, they scan all the coupons so there is never any argument about what the wording means.
