A local property had snowdrops under a tree (which likely sheltered it from today's fine hail) and another nearby property to it had emerging daffodil leaves.

Not much poking up around here, we had snow yesterday, so I think it will be a few more weeks before we start to see some green life.

went to rake a few leaves
1 hour later, filled a bag
underneath the leaves
- sedum plant peeking through
- hosta plant starting
- tiny pansies
- tulip leaves with stripey leaves
- crocus tops
and one lady bug
The robins were very chatty and very near. I am wondering if they are/were planning a nest nearby.
Got a good workout bending, raking and sweeping the walkway.

Nothing peeking here in Saskatoon - but tons of birds, so I'm totally enjoying the daily singing. A few days of nasty crows (sorry to crow lovers out there, but here they can totally decimate the songbirds), so I hope they stay away.
My sister in Edmonton told me today she has sprigs of asparagus and rhubarb already.

Our baby daffodils bloomed yesterday. Sedum is well on it's way. Garter snake out basking in the sun. I found a broken (not hatched) Canada Goose egg in the field - it was HUGE! - about4"X3"-
Our rose bush leaves are sprouting. Hens and Chickens coming along. Some forsythia bushes startING to look yellow. Spring is coming.

Some of my daffodils are blooming but they're floppy because of the recent freeze-thaw-freeze-thaw. That's about it so far.

Cleaned up some of the winter mess today. Things are budding out all over the place. Some things died over the winter, most made it through. Hostas don't seem to like pots even though their cold tolerance is much higher than mine, lost another couple of those. No more pots for hostas. As always, catalpa tree will be the last thing to bud out but when it does I won't see the neighbors - I can hardly wait.

Tulips, old and new, have yet to open their blooms. Three plants have frost/burn damage to leaves-thanks, #spwinter.
Lots of little blue/purple flowers, spider plant like grass going bonkers and someone's magnolia tree is in bloom.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
