Thread: Beware of Monster Duct Inc.

I had bought a Dealfind for Monster Duct Inc. since I wanted my ducts cleaned. It was a great deal $69 for duct cleaning for up to 15 vents. ($9 for each additional vent and $49 for additional furnaces). However, they failed to show up 3 times and only called one time to reschedule. Finally, they showed up today and they tried to upsell me and penny pinch me. It may only cost $69 for up to 15 vents but we had many extra vents plus they want an extra $60 to upgrade to the better machine, another $60 to sweep all the moisture from the bottom of the vents and let the camera show you inside the vent, an additional $50 to clean the actual furnace and then another $10 admin charge if you use your credit card. At the end of the day, if we took all these services, would we really be ahead? Monster Duct said that if we did all these services, they could guarantee that we don't need our ducts cleaned for 3 years. But if we declined them, we're due for another cleaning in one year. The service was horrible. Although the people are friendly and polite, the fact that they didn't show up until the 4th appointment shows me that they don't respect other people's time. If I hadn't bought the dealfind and the company didn't show up after the 2nd time, there is no way I would continue to work with that company. Has anyone else had any experience with this company?

They are not BBB accredited, they are rated with an F and there is even a blinking red alert for the company on the site

Just to add to this - the company you used has been operating under at least 6 different names & hiding when things go badly.
In at least one case, the police had to be called due to severe harassment, threats of bodily harm, and sexual suggestions/threats of rape to a man in regards to his wife.
ANY company that has not been around for YEARS and is offering duct cleaning for under $250 is a hint to RUN.
Just tell them you don't have any ducks, but do they clean cats or dogs?Last edited by KrazE; Fri, Aug 10th, 2012 at 11:22 PM.

You should send your complaints to dealfind so that they are aware of the poor service. If enough purchasers of the deal complain then dealfind will not promote any deals from them.

Scary the complaints.
It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

File a complaint with dealfind. If they do not respond, report dealfind to the BBB for promoting a fraudulent business and then see how it goes.
