I was going to post a before & after pic, but what would be the point?
Sometimes we must indulge in summer treats & to ourselves we shall anoint,
Raspberry Swirl in a sugar cone that contained the perfect blend of tang,
One should always consume real ice cream & enjoy it with a bang,
I thinking of opening up an ice cream stand at the end of my front drive,
& you can even season it with a sprig of mint or maybe a sprinkle of chives,
Show me your Smart Canuck magnet & I'll offer you a special deal,
& I'm hopeful Loocie's curbside ice cream cones will offer curb appeal.

Hi all.
Haven't been on line 4 awhile, & not sure when I'll be back on.

Summary:
* Jake had surgery
* a friend in hospital, & his brother flew over from England, & sister from North Bay: both WERE staying with me
* computer hacked; $36,000. stolen, but bank covered the theft.
* " data gone; support can't retrieve, so goes into shop Monday. They'll try to retrieve data & photos; then wipe hard drive & reinstall software. Once unplugged, no wifi, so don't know when I'll be back on line.

Very stressful couple of weeks.

OMG, hicks - so much going on. Sure hope Jake will be okay.
That's crazy about having the computer hacked - hoping it will be resolved soon.

Hello folks! Hicks, I'm so sorry to hear about your challenges! I certainly hope Jake is doing well! Can you tell us about why he needed surgery, poor guy!

Nat, I hope your snoozing.

We are staying at a lovely Inn in Idaho's Springs, Colorado. We took a beautiful ride through the mountains yesterday. There is a babbling brook running just outside our balcony. It was a wonderful cool, fresh evening, but I woke up cold and had to scrounge around to get another cover. Daytime highs have been in the 90's.
I am hoping we'll take in some of the historical spots today - The area is known for uranium mining and "healing" hot springs.

There is a small-gauge train close by that you can take on one of those,"I can't believe they built this so close to the edge" rides. Maybe that would be fun.

Bears have been wandering around some neighbourhoods near where we are staying in Denver. One of DH' s daughter's friends works with the police department and was on TV helping to remove a sedated bear from a street downtown.


Going to try to catch a few more zzz' s. We'll be back in Denver tonight.

Good Sunday Night Football evening to you!!

Back from camp...sweet weekend, the kids had friends and their little guy (10) staying with them so we visited from time to time, shared a campfire with them, babysat (if you can call it that...it's so easy there for them to wander) the boys while our kids and the other couple played 9 holes of golf, then the two Moms and their little guys took out our DD's Sea-Dos.....another day in paradise!

Just watching NFL football (a moment of respectful silence)...but did catch some Jays action on TV, wow!
They're amazing! Tired from the weekend, HICKS, so sorry to hear about the troubles you've encountered this past week. I hope your Friend and Jake make full recoveries!
