Researchers talk a lot amongst themselves about why people participate in market research. Some say it's for the incentives, others say because it's fun or they like to contribute to creating better products. I'm sure you have your own personal reasons. I'd love to hear directly from people who actually participate in research and then share a full page of your quotes/opinions in a market research magazine that is read by professional researchers. I hope that researchers will gain a better understanding of what people are thinking so that they can do their research better. There is no incentive to share your opinion here other than to know that professional researchers will actually read your opinion and discuss them with other researchers.
NOTE: Some of your answers may be edited for length (so I can include more opinions) or clarity and published in a magazine read by professional researchers. Your opinion can be anonymous or you can include a given name and last initial (e.g., John S - fake or real). I will not use your profile name. I will only use a name that is provided at the end of your opinion. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to Smart Canucks.
Are you doing some research?
If so, can you please disclose -- e.g. ethical considerations for research.
Thx.

Thank you. I'm not sure what else to say..? Pondering... Is there a concern that a negative opinion will be negatively received? Or that someone will be blacklisted? Privacy matters a lot to me hence the anonymity.

OP, I am surprised that, if you are working for/with a market research magazine, you tried to elicit research results without disclosure.
OP you must know that any results obtained at SC is not admissible/usable without consent from the participants, and that participants must be informed and must be eligible to withdraw participation

OP, we'd need to know what kind of magazine this is.
People who participate in Mystery shopping may legally be unable to comment on it.
As someone who writes for a magazine (which I do), I would never have people post opinions online to be lifted. Online comments cannot be verified as legit. What I would do, is tell people about my article and ask that if someone is interested in participating, they message me directly and we can move forward from there.Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

Thanks for finding this information.
educated at York University and University of Guelph?!
Then OP is very much aware of ethics and disclosure requirements for research and surveys.
And York and Guelph are good schools, teaching about research and disclosure and stuff
