The $5 Amazon will now be 500SB and UNLIMITED - no more 5 per month which I think is a plus!!!

I only redeem Paypal. My wife mainly redeems Amazon, but earns very slowly so it will take her a very long time to get to 2200SB.

Yeah, but she likes the discount. Without the discount she has no reason to redeem amazon, whether at 300SB or 500SB.

I just joined swagbucks (using a link). Any tips on how to maximize and get the most swag bucks as possible?

With the benefit of exchange rate, I think Canadian will gradually reduce the Amazon.ca redemption. Now, 1US$ = $1.25Cdn. Also, Swagbucks needs to pay fee to Paypal. Apparently, Swagbucks needs to pay more / will earn less if we redeem Paypal or any US-related-giftcard with the capability of redeeming in Canada. Unless there is special discount for Amazon.ca, I expect sales of Amazon.ca gift card will decrease.

If you buy products from Homedepot/Starbucks, you can redeem $10 gift cards. If you still want discount for Amazon.ca, you need to accumulate $25.

With the benefit of exchange rate, $5 = 450SB is NOT a good discount anymore since it is only 10% discount. If you redeem paypal or US$ gift card, you get 25% more.

If you go to the first page of the thread the first post tells you a lot of ways to earn swagbucks. Download the toolbar extension and make it your default search engine . That's why it is weird that SB has the same rate of discount when the exchange rate was below 1 and now it is 1.25. Also, analysts predict Canadian Central Bank will have another interest rate cut again, maybe on March/April. In that case, the rate will climb even higher, it will probably even reach 1.35. The exchange rate will either maintain at high rate or keep going up for now unless the oil price bounces back up. It is unlikely to occur since the crude oil supply keep increasing although the demand is NOT decreasing.

SB pays Paypal in $USD (you do not have a choice). There are a few qualifications however:

1) The name on your Swagbucks account must match the name on your Paypal account.
2) Your email in your swagbucks account has to be an email which is linked to your Paypal account (Paypal allows you to link multiple emails)
3) Your Paypal account must be a paypal-verified account (that is, linked to a bank account).

Swagbuck always sends paypal in US$.

There is still discount for Amazon.ca, but you need to save 2200SB in order to redeem $25 Amazon.ca. However, if you have 2200SB and you always buy products from Starbucks/Homedepot, then I suggest you to redeem either $25 Homedepot or Starbucks since you got both discount plus the benefit of exchange rate. I think there are couple of other US$ gift cards and able to redeem in Canada, but I forget them. You can only redeem the discount $25 gift card on your own choice (except gas gift card and paypal) only ONCE per month.
