I'm looking for a good place in London to get eyeglasses. Not quite ready to do the Internet thing due to a high prescription (although the prices are mighty tempting). I've been looking around and the cost seems really high. Wondered if any Londoners had any advice for me?

I found a different forum where someone mentioned Optometrists on Colbourne, anyone have any experience with them?

I too have just started my search. Optomitrist's office very expensive. Seems Sears, Costco and maybe Loblaws & Walmart are good price wise. Sears has 2 for 1 right now and Costco usually does this in February. Heard great things about Clearly Contacts(but it's online). Interested to hear more suggestions.
I heard there may be a Customer Appreciation Sale today at Loblaws but can't find local (london)info.
ANYONE? ANYONE?

Thank you Bronze Medallion! I also heard good things about Clearly Contacts but from someone with a less complex prescription than mine. I've always had to go back in to get my glasses adjusted and so need to go somewhere that can do this. Would love for someone to give advice. Glasses are SO expensive!
