I also use primewire (1channel), and much prefer it over torrents. A major reason being the nature of it: Bit-torrents work by simultaneously downloading and uploading the same file. In 1channel, you're downloading a file from a single source/ not uploading. Under Canadian law, it's not the downloading of the file that's illegal, it's the uploading (distribution) of it.

Somebody might have already mentioned this but I find you can watch lot of shows on channel websites such as ctv.ca. Great if you have a good connection.

I usually just google watch fill in show name here online free or something like that. Project free tv is a good website so are the watch series ones.

You need to use an ad blocker for the site. If you click on of the ads and allow it to download then you can have a problem. You don't have to download ANYTHING to use the site. It streams online so no way to infect your computer.

I recommend always having your firewall on, antivirus up to date and use an ad blocker on everything on the internet. Also turn pop-ups off if you can and if you get something suspicious don't click X or cancel....close the whole page in task manager.

I have been using it for years and never had a problem as long as I do the above.
