I checked the rules again and yes, the payment is for your entire life. The annuity has a minimum payout of 20 years. That is, if the winner dies less than 20 years after claiming the prize, the remaining payments are paid to the winner's estate.

All my tickets are part of groups so the annuity is not an option. Group wins are automatically paid the $1.5 million lump sum.

ah okay that's good to know! Plus doing the 100,000 a year would still work out better since that's 2mil instead of 1.5 even if it did go to an estate!

The Lotto 649 jackpot is now up to $30 million. The jackpot rarely gets that large for Lotto 649. A great group play opportunity. We are buying 1,000 tickets hoping to hit the big one this weekend.

We won $1,249 in the March 2 Lotto 649 draw. Not as much as we would have liked, but a nice win nonetheless.

The jackpot was won. Back to waiting for the next big one. Will probably play the Lotto Max draw on March 15. I expect the jackpot to be $40 million.

If you only play when the jackpot is over $50 million, then you must rarely play Lotto 649. Its jackpot exceeded $50 million only twice in the history of the game.

Lotto Max reaches $50 million about 12 times per year but it is a much harder game to win. The next possible $50 million Lotto Max jackpot is for the March 15 draw.

Wow, I thought the last Lotto 649 draw was a good buy with a payout of 98%. The next draw has a jackpot of $36 million with an expected payout of around 110%. The game rarely has a payout this high. Since $36 million is more money than most people know what to do with, it is a great opportunity for a group play.
