Deal: looking for a great deal on winter boots

Anyone know of a store in the area that is (or has) winter boots on sale (read: clearance)?

My current boots are on their way out and I would like to get some new ones in preparation for next year. I am not brand loyal or store loyal either. I am male with 10.5 shoe size if needed.

You might have missed the boat as clearance sales on winter boots start in December or January, if you're lucky enough to find a pair if you wear a popular size. Shoe stores don't keep inventories like they used to. They start displaying and selling their stuff months before they're needed and then put them on sale during the season they're meant for.

I know, I wear a size 7.5 wide (woman's) and I've resigned myself to paying full price when the footwear becomes available or be stuck without. Last year I waited until June to buy a pair of summer shoes because that's when the sales started and found nothing in my size.
