I binge watched the last season the other day & I'm finally caught up. The last episode was a bit too sad for me, so I went looking for something a bit lighter and came across the following video. It's from 2013 so you might have seen it, but enjoy:
'Reassuringly posh 50s speak' had me in stitches.

Oh, it's been SO long, but YAY for the upcoming Christmas special

Behind the scenes on the Call the Midwife Christmas Special: Fangirls!
We just love this shot from behind the scenes on our forthcoming Christmas Special! Our ladies in habits were filming their Christmas lunch in the unseasonal heat of the film lights, and so required a little extra cooling between takes Out came the fans - and our nuns were soon posing for photographs like eighteenth century courtesans!

We're DELIGHTED to tell you about a very romantic scene that took place while we were filming the Call the Midwife Christmas Special in South Africa, and starred our lovely Victoria Yeates, who plays Sister Winifred!
While Victoria was filming, her boyfriend - Musician Paul Housden - flew out to join her, and the couple went off for a quick break to see the animals at the Inverdoorn Game Reserve, near Cape Town.
"We stopped off at this beautiful little café as we were heading home on Route 66. There was a log cabin by some mountains and a lake and a bridge. and Paul said "I've got a question to ask."
"I said, ‘What is it?’ I was scared that if we stayed in the area too long, baboons would come! And that’s when he said -
"Will you marry me?"
“I just started laughing and crying because I was so shocked so he had to check I’d said yes! But it was amazing. When we went back we told the cast.”

Gosh, I sure hope they get rid of that new superior nun!
Fabulous episode as always - I wonder if I could ever get through ONE without crying?

Argh, I hadn't realized that last week's show was the season finale!
It was a fab episode - wedding, birth - and so much more!
Gosh, it's going to be SO long to wait for the Christmas special!

Watched the first two episodes of the new season - both absolutely wonderful!
It never ceases to amaze me that they put out this quality show - with the storylines, casting, character development, etc. - every minute of each show is fabulous.
