We ended up at the Lower Deck (formerly Winstons/The Copper Penney) in Clayton Park on Mothers Day. Wasn't planned, not a special meal, just that it was lunchtime and we were there, so we went in to eat.

It was VERY busy, and they clearly didn't have enough staff to manage it. We waited over an hour for food. But those things happen, I wasn't all bent out of shape about it, but was kind of disappointed with the slow service.

A day or two later I got a survey in my email, offering me bonus rewards points if I filled in the survey about my last visit (they have a rewards card system). So I filled it out, wasn't mean about it but told them what I thought, that they weren't adequately staffed for the day, etc.

The next day I got a call from the manager, apologizing for the poor service, admitting that they really were not prepared and offered me enough points for a $20 gift certificate.

I thought this was handled awesomely!
