(From the description on YouTube)
We need your help. HRM is in the running for a free main street makeover but we need votes. Lots of them. If we can make a splash in the Top 20 for North America, then we'll get a complete paint makeover for a three-block stretch on one of our main streets, courtesy of Benjamin Moore.
That's where you come in. Tell your friends, business contacts, neighbours, ex-pats in other parts of the world, and pretty much anyone you bump into on the street or online that they need to vote for Halifax. We have until the end of this month (June 30).
Halifax is in the running for a free main street makeover.
Vote early & vote often.

UPDATE!
Halifax has "won a main street makeover from Benjamin Moore. But the contest isn't over yet. We need your help in deciding which street in the HRM will receive the three-block paint facelift."
Choose the street/area you would most like to see receive this makeover and vote daily until July 19th. Share with your friends and neighbours on social media, too!

Halifax was 1 of only 3 cities in Canada to be chosen for this downtown "makeover", which is wonderful!
However, it would appear someone (or several people) managed to mess up the voting.....

I voted, but I would have also liked to see the option of donating the prize to Lac-Mégantic. They could use the prize far more than HRM given the recent disaster.

Quinpool needs a facelift. But, the traffic needs to be fixed so a person can actually notice the buildings and want to stop there. More buses. Fewer cars.
