9781 Jane St., Vaughan

780 Kingston Rd., in Pickering (construction stopped)

720 Spadina Ave., Toronto.
1960 Queen St. E. (the Beach) Toronto
1111 Dundas St. E., Whitby
1441 Upper James St., Hamilton
2424 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville

Some landlords have not been paid by Licks head office. Some franchisees are left out in the cold.
Licks has been around in Ontario since 1980.

Upper James has been closed for a while now. Such a shame. I used to love going in there just to hear the workers singing!

They have frozen burgers and Nature Burgers (veggie) in some grocery stores still

I found them at Sobeys a few weeks back for $4.99. Hubby picked up 6 boxes. We will be good for a while.

I just read this article today about the franchise owners at the Queensway location...apparently even though they (the owners) were paying Licks 11K in rent a month - Licks head office was not paying it to the property owner!

It's too bad that they seem to be in financial trouble. Plus not paying franchisees !!!??? Awful.

This is so unfortunate
Licks is my favourite fast food joint. I always used to go there as a kid. It has such an amazing atmosphere. I went to the one on Lakeshore months ago and I thought they were doing a renovation but now I realize they were actually closing down. It's sad because it's at such a nice location, as well - right by the lake.

Sad...I have memories working there as a teen & singing while serving(I still remember the songs now 20+ yrs later). Hope to get to a local location soon with DH to use our FPCs.

Awww, thats so sad! One of my first jobs back in high school was working at Lick's!

Trafalgar Road is closed. And Barrie is Closed.....Queensway has reopened as a licks but owner is really an independent...Same owner hard working Couple......

the one in burlington shut down. my fav place for a veggie burger. i was sad to see it go. they are super expensive but so good.
