FreshCo usually has good deals Wednesday night since they are getting ready for the new flyer. Tonight they had 1 pound packages of lean ground chicken for $1.75 and all of them had a $1 off sticker, bringing them to .75 cents a pound! I am a vegetarian but my sister isn't so I got her 8 packs and they also had 6 packs of honey garlic sausages for $1.50 so I picked up 3 of them. If we would have had more freezer space I would have picked up more.

i was avoiding walmart but had to go there because nofrills was out of hot dogs for a few days now. price matched for 6 schneiders hot dogs and got 2 free maple leaf ready crisps, plus overage applied toward other grocery. It was an easy and painless experience at walmart. FYI, walmart is charging 5 cents a bag now

    RCSS BRAG
how to get MORE than 30% off pink sticker prices

    PC Plus balance = 20000 points , $20
PC Plus offer 2500 points in Natural Value section (health food and such)
PC Plus offer 7500 points on anything in store $75 or more
PC Plus offer for 400 points for mushrooms

Bought gifts for 3 people in Natural Value: fancy teas, flax, maple syrup...
Bought veggies including cremini mushrooms with 30% off sticker
    Spent $77.xx

Used the $20 in PC points in the bank

    Out of pocket $57.xx
    Points earned $10.80
Savings, after points = 40% off

In the housewares and small appliances sections, there were lots of yellow price tags at 40% off, but we did not need anything there. Would have been 50% off if we have bought housewares and used the PC plus offer for spending $75 or more.

Back from another shop for the week, but still more to come...

    RCSS (Ajax):
    Smartfood popcorn (2): $7.58 - PM(Sobeys; $3.58 OFF) - $2.00 WUB2 = $2.00
    Danette Pudding Cups (2): $4.00 - 30%($1.20) - $2.00(2 @ $1) = $0.80
    Delissio Rustico Pizzas (3): $17.97 - PM(FB; $9.06 OFF) - $2.00(2 @ $1) - 1,000pts = $5.91
    Red Delicious Apples (3.21lbs): $6.39 - PM(Lucky Mart; $3.23 OFF) - 600pts = $2.56
    Bananas (1.75lbs): $1.00 - PM(WM; $0.01 OFF) = $0.99 <- Don't even know why I bothered
Outside Round Marinating Steak (1.485kg approx): $20.81 (Cheaper than FB @ $15.39/kg)

However, there is more to come... Most Likely early tomorrow...

Back from FreshCo (Whitby) with more deals:
    Choco Milk (3 1L's): $7.47 - SALE($4.56 OFF) = $2.91
Whole Chicken (1.8kg approx): $11.88 - SALE($4.82 OFF) = $7.06 (Cheaper and bigger than the precooked chicken)
    Schneider's Bologna (3): $17.37 - PM(FoodLand; $8.43 OFF) - $5.00(2 @ $2.50) - $1.00(In-store on one pack) = $2.94/3 OR $0.98/each
    Maple Leaf Stuffed Chicken: $6.99 - FPC WUB3 = $0.00

Bills show I saved a total of $30.80, they made a slight mistake and had to go back in to correct it, but it all worked out in the end. (Forgot to PM one of the bolognas and tried to say I couldn't, but I had two different kinds to conform to their PM policy of only 'two like items')

Has to be the Canadian ground beef on for $2 per 400g tube in 3-packs for $6 at No Frills this week (regularly $10). Not that I am a huge fan of the stuff, but everybody can use a little, so I bought 15 logs and I have already sold on half. Everybody's happy.

Garden center offer: spend $35, receive $5 in PC Plus point, good to May 30
24 inch pot full with spring bulbs, reg. $35, 50% off pink sticker price $17.50
    Bought 2, so $35
4 inch pot of fancy tulip bulbs, reg. $2.99, clearance $0.10!
    Bought 5, so $0.50
    Total $35.50
    Earned the $5 in points
Out of pocket after points $30.50
    64% savings

The huge pots had about 3/4 bulbs in bloom and 1/4 ready to transplant into the garden for next year's bloom

At Loblaws, Walmart and Costco, they seem to have way, way too much plants for their Mother's Day buy.

I am predicting some great deals over the next few weeks if you want to save your pennies for this After Mother's Day haul

    Full House season 1, $9.98
    Walmart
Thanks to SC member brunt -->, took the suggestions about cable TV price at Bell (B'Hell), Rogers (Robbers) etc., and looked for TV shows at a good price. The cashier was interested and it looks like she wanted to pick up Full House too.
