Does anyone in the Ottawa and surrounding towns know of SDM issuing GC?

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knows of an SDM location that does allow us to buy GC with our points. I know they say no and the policy states..but when calling 1-800 number they did say that several do anyway since they are independantly owned. They use another code and bypass the system. I would love to use my points for a few dinners, gasoline, GC for birthdays - I do not even know which cards they have, need to find out even what they have. I understand the sensitivity of this request so I will keep to myself and if you can please PM me to let me know if you know of any I would greatly appreciate it, maybe the name of the manager if you are willing to divulge? or not too. Would love to use for more useful things at this time maybe later more fun stuff.

Well, from a business point of view, I don't see why they would. If you think about it, when they redeem points for merchandise, SDM pays less than the price they sell it at. For example, if you buy $5 worth of toothpaste with points redemption, it costs SDM only $2.50, for example, and not $5.

If they gave out $25 of giftcards in exchange for points, well, they're out $25. Gift cards are the equivalent of cash, so I expect they want the equivalent in value as payment so as not to lose money.

Not mine. But maybe you can call head office and ask? If they won't tell you (I can't see why not, though) then old fashioned cold-calling might work.

Sorry I haven't checked local for a while. Thanks for your input...and I have called around various ones - about 6 of them and a no was the consensous, just thought I'd ask. Thanks everyone.

when you buy a Shoppers gift card you will get points for an every time you use it to pay you get bonus points Ex. $50.00 gets you 500 points every time they swipe your card to pay.
