So there's some new limited edition Lays Chips out there, as part of that contest endorsed by Martin Short. The flavours were submitted by Canadians.
There are 4 finalists
1. Ketchup and Grilled Cheese
2. Perogie
3. Cesar
4. Maple
DH bought the Perogie yesterday and holy salt! I could not eat more than one chip. Has anyone tried the others? I want to get the ketchup but it's the only one I haven't seen on the shelfThis thread is currently associated with: N/AApply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). Aw, I had submitted a Perogies one, but mine was not chosen!
SDM only had two flavours - Maple Moose - smelled the bag when opened, smelled like mustard hamburgers! The first few chips tasted kind of odd, but actually after four or five, they were not bad - reminded me of steak chips I have had before. But would not buy again.
Ketchup and Grilled Cheese - whatever flavour of cheese they used, I did not like it, and I couldn't taste any ketchup flavour at all. However, my son liked them a lot.
Son had tried the Perogy Platter - said they pretty much had no taste.
He really liked the garlic caesar a LOT - so I'm looking forward to trying them.
For these two, he bought the smaller bags at 7-Eleven, they had a BOGO on their phone app.

I saw a display this weekend at WM and Fresh Co with all flavours. Haven't tried them yet cause I was waiting for them to be on sale but I have tried one of the new Ruffles flavours-Jalapeno Poppers! They are delicious but warming you must like HOT!

The Maple Moose one was horrible made me and my husband's sick to our tummies and bad gas. Horrible flavor. The casear salad one and grill cheese and ketchup - both pretty good. I voted for the grill cheese one

I bought all 4 a couple weeks ago when I saw them at RCSS...Im a SUCKER for new flavours!
*Grilled cheese and ketchup. By far, this one was the most NORMAL of all the flavours. A bit ketchup, a bit cheesy...just ok.
*Maple Moose. Gross..tasted like they were going for MOOSE flavour! LMAO (kidding) But just eww, burnt mapley bbq.
*Perogie Platter. Nothing I havent tasted before, bacony, cheesy, sour creamy...just too thin of a flavour. Would be good on a THICK and rippled chip.
*Garlic Caesar Salad. This one was surprisingly good! Authentic caesar taste. After about 6 or 7 of them they started to taste yucky, but definitely easily identifiable as garlic caesar!
Probably will NOT buy ANY of them again.

I don't think I'll be trying any of these, especially the Maple!

Don't think I'll be trying these either! That Ruffles Jalapeno Popper one sounds much more appealing though! I gotta find that one.

I really enjoyed the perogie one, lost of flavour.
The ketchup and grilled cheese was ...like ketchup chips but with a sock after taste haha hated it.

Maple syrup has a nice flavour but that does not mean it will work for chips. It's like eating potatoes in a maple syrup. A few people will like that. Though for cereals it works great (because many people like bread with maple syrup).
