Thanks Jp-13! I only see May 22nd at the top of the page. My WM is very picky - I have to highlight the flyer dates (they need the start and end dates of each flyer) and I always circle the item I am purchasing and even write out the price per kg where applicable. I dont mind doing all this since I'm lucky to have a WM that price matches....I just need to follow their rules to the tee

I have found quite the opposite peachy1. In fact we were buying cauliflower plenty from say Jan till just a few weeks ago ( for roasting and for making fake mashed for Shepherd's pie ) but I found 1 week in the fridge and they were already getting black spots. Now I just wait for a great sale and buy 1 single one to use up fast.

I just cut or scrap the black spot(s) off(not letting it get too bad firstly of course).
Looking at the flyer does anyone know if Walmart would consider pork mince the same as ground pork?Zoombucks are back: Please consider using my link to sign up again: https://zoombucks.com/?ref=IIHO0L

first step is to wrap in papertowel. hopefully some cheap stuff you couponed.
and i use at least 2 a week.
if any black spots cut off but not much usually unless push it towards 3 weeks.
I kept garden carrots in my spare fridge until March (wrapped in papertowel) and then in ziploc
Less moisture and air bacteria the longer they shelf life.
Dont wash the cauliflower before and put in a bag after wrapping paper towel.
Hope this works or helps

Thanks peachy I will buy one and try the paper towel method.
I too just trimmed the black spots off with my veg peeler but as I said for the price they charge I feel that veg should last longer than that. The worst time was when they had a great sale and I bought 6 and started to see spoilage heading into week 2. DH suggested unwrapping the Dole ones from their plastic covering, he thought that might have caused it, but even the others without plastic wrap were just as bad.
Thanks again for the tip.

One last tip. keep away from freezer zone or ice maker and from any meats and mushrooms. Im sure most of you know this but keep those mushrooms in brown paper bag and save the life of them and the rest of your food.

Im going to try and PM at WM for the first time. 2 questions:
How do you PM the eggs and chicken/MEAT? Is there a particular brand they PM on?
Thank you all in advance!
