uh oh, Claudius' tail got under DH's foot again in the kitchen!! The cat is a moron! He " drops and flops " on the floor right behind your back and then when you turn around......argh!! two seconds later he is right back behind your feet!

Poor cat, but you'd think he'd learn. It makes you feel so bat though. Wish it was the last time it'd happen.

​Taking a kitchen break last

I have just come up for air! been in the kitchen most of the day. The good news is much of the prep is done for the Xmas dinner courses we are making. Made pastry and wrapped apples up ( dumplings ) this time placing a blob of caramel sauce, some pecans and cranberries into the core hole and of course the sugar/cinnamon stuff in there as well. They're in the freezer, just thaw and bake on the 25th!
Also made a scrumptious ground pork/veal blend, seasoned and shaped into mini meatballs that will be going into the Autumn Soup. They are keeping the dumplings company now.
I moved on to making Gingerbread and sugar cookie dough's, nearly went into a coma with rolling, using various cookie cutters and popping trays in and out of the oven....6 minutes is not that long but they cook so fast!
I suspect it will be an early bedtime for me.

Wow @walkonby that's impressive. Those apple dumplings sound absolutely delicious. I've never made them.
You deserve a good night's sleep after all that.
