That's hilarious!
I got the $30 wire shelf mentioned earlier i this thread. Our store had put 6 out. No sign or tag so I asked someone who happened ot be walking by if she would scan it for me. Then she helped me lift it into my cart. Later when I was trying to get it into my car a guy collecting carts ran over to help me and then took my cart for me when it was empty. I sure will miss these people.
I also got all new bath towels for $27! The RE lime green striped bath sheets are marked at $2.99, other colors I think were $5.99 but she adjusted then all to $2.99 for me
So I got 3 red, 3 grey and 3 turquoise. Nice surpriseOpening a fee-free Tangerine account using my Orange key: 43034602S1 You will receive a $50 bonus from Tangerine. our target is awfully quiet and empty, i got few cell phone covers-purse kind for $6, juicy fruit gum 5 pack for $1.19,dragon movie 2 board game for $5 and boys cargo pants $2.10
the worst thing is that my munchkin cries when he sees Target and we drive by and don't stop.

I have never been to a Target that plays music and i read that they don't do it in the US as well which is why they don't do it here. It was my biggest Target pet peeve because majority of the time i shopped, it was always super quiet and no music made it just seem more empty and......creepy sometimes!!
Will try to stop by my location tonight to see what's happening. My husband and I finally got our own place (got married in May, living with the in-laws and have a baby due this May) so hoping to score a lot of home goods before its all gone. Still really sad about the close.

I noticed yesterday that I felt dread instead of excitement when pulling up to my store. Even though it's still pretty normal there, I think I fear the day it sinks in that it's really over

Really? I swear I remember dancing a little while shopping there...maybe it's all in my head...
EDIT: Weird, I never noticed. I know it was certainly quieter today despite there still being several customers in store. It must be the lack of noise from the electronics department... There was always a video game demo playing.Last edited by dizzyb; Thu, Jan 29th, 2015 at 02:06 PM.

They also had turned off all the lighting in the cosmetics department, which looked really weird.
Neither of mine ever had music.

I heard today that as per tomorrow they won't accept returns and this seems to be everywhere. Check with your stores if you have things to return.
Thinking of opening an ING account use this number 35728975S1 and both of us get a $50!! dollar bonus.

I fear I'm getting off topic for this thread since this is for clearance deals, but a favourite hobby of mine was reading the Target Canada twitter account and all the complaints. A surprising number were about no music being played. Target always said it was for a distraction-free shopping experience. I may be flakey at times, but I've never been distracted by music. Agree with the person who said it made the store seem quiet and empty. Except for when they use the walkie-talkies and it was in stereo because there were so many staffers with their volumes cranked.
Maybe we should move this discussion to the Target-closing thread?
