You NEED one of those DO NOT DISTURB hotel door room signs outside your office ..he he...or one of those OCCUPIED signs outside public washrooms
My previuos boss had a In Meeting or Open sign outside is door ..where you slide the sign in & out ..I bet 90 % of the time he wasn't in a meeting when the sign was on & was probably sleeping or something

My department has been working on a project for 2 years and just launched it. Huge, huge deal. Everyone in the company has known about this mega project for 2 years.
10 mins after the official announcement, someone comes into my office to complain about something unrelated.
Can you give me some time to deal with this 2 year project?Last edited by torontogal12; Thu, Feb 27th, 2014 at 12:46 PM.

It used to happen to me too and of course it's always when a boss happens to walk by and notice - then it's you that gets blamed for always being the socializer. Maybe drop into the other person's office when it's clear that they are on the phone or in the middle of something and see how they like it?
