I was wondering if you could take a moment to click on this link & vote for CARD.
The Canadian Association for the Riding Disabled is a marvelous organization who makes an incredible difference in the lives of both children & adults. They are hoping to be awarded $10.000.00 that will help them further their cause enormously. Thank you for your consideration.

I guess this is an update on the health front.
The last week hasn't been an easy one for me. I am down but not out. My last scan revealed that my tumours are active again & they have grown. When they compare scans from July to scans in September it shows growth in the troublesome tumours by about 2mm. I also have what is referred to multiple ground glass nodules scattered throughout both lungs. These little tiny guys are staying the same. It's the larger tumours that I have to worry about & they have grown.
Now, the problem for me, is that I may be deemed no longer eligible to stay on this drug & remain in the clinical trial. This would make me so incredibly sad. I have fought & battled so hard. Being positive all the time is downright impossible. My emotions have got the better of me on numerous occasions. I can't articulate the thoughts, feelings of fear that dance through my head. I can't help but wonder. I would hope that I could find a spot in another sarcoma trial/study if this turns out to be the case.
I am feeling fairly well otherwise. When you hear the expression stop on a dime, that is how my energy grinds to a halt on me.
If you can still keep sending me your healing vibes & prayers I am honoured & grateful.
My new prosthesis is working out very well & I am happy to have better mobility. It is so great to take steps that are not all wobbly! Is that cool or what?
On a very happy note, a good friend of mine & I are going to see Cat Stevens in T.O. on December 1'st (I think). I love Massey Hall as a venue to see any artist. The sound is magical & it is such a classy place.
In closing, I am still a fighter & I will be giving this sarcoma a run for its money. I'll be back at the hospital in a couple of weeks.
Love,
Loocie
xx

Loocie thanks so much for your latest news. " Down but still not out " , I hope there are options and possible treatments offered to you if this one is no longer given. I do appreciate when you say you simply cannot stay positive every moment of the day. Even very healthy individuals see their glasses half empty on many days. Enjoy that Cat Stevens concert in the " snow " month!!!

Thanks for the update Loocie. I can fully understand how your emotions are on such a roller coaster with all you're going through. I too hope that if you're moved out of the current drug trial that you'll be able to join in another one that can both fight AND beat this monster! You are a most worthy opponent and you have tons of support here and elsewhere. My prayers and thoughts go with you to help give you the strength whenever you need it.
Lotsa Jester hugs to you.

Val, sorry to hear that there in new growth.....
However you are one of the strongest people I've seen fight cancer.
So on the days when you are down just remember, you have a lot of angels/people cheering you on. It's ok to feel down as long as it's not for long .
You have been a fighter for all these years, and you'll continue to be a fighter for years to come.
Be STRONG my friend, and don't ever give up, because we are never giving up on you .
Keeping you in my thoughts and sending up prayers for you .
