I love homemade chicken or turkey soup! I save the chicken or turkey carcass, separate into 4 quarters and freeze separately. When i have a need for chicken or turkey soup, i just get the bones (and whatever leftover meat is attached to the bones), boil them, remove them from the broth, take off any meat attached to the bones and put the meat back into the broth. Add more water, sliced carrots, onion, celery, clove of garlic and peppercorns. Salt and Pepper to taste. Then i either just have the soup with soda crackers or i boil egg noodles or soup noodles and just add some noodles to my bowl. Leftover noodles i keep in the fridge for the next day of soup. Sometimes i add some barley for a bit of difference.

I also love homemade cabbage vegetable soup. Start with chicken stock, add a can of spiced tomatoes, cabbage (i freeze leftover cabbage from making cabbage rolls and use it in this soup), celery, onion, carrots and whatever other vegies you want to add. Salt and Pepper to taste.
