I personally use Studio tax, however, there are some flaws with the program. One huge issue I have noticed is that it will not automatically generate the Schedule 6 for people with income that qualifies for the Working Income Tax Benefit. You must manually add the Schedule 6 form and enter the checkmarks where applicable in order to get the WITB. As a tax professional it was easy for me to spot that something was missing from the return, but for the average person there is a good chance that they will likely not realize this and will potentially miss out on $$$ they are entitled to!!

Another thing to watch out for with this program is that it does not populate the eligible dependent amount even though you have entered your dependents in - you actually have to click on the Schedule 5 and manually click to choose which child you will be claiming. ***This is applicable to single working parents only and does make a huge difference on your return***

Thanks for posting this! The Studio Tax program helped me see a $75 provincial credit I would have totally missed otherwise (and looks like I missed out on claimng it for last year's tax return!..doh!).

I have tried studio tax.
One problem I found is (maybe I am picky) there is a rounding problem on the cents. It doesn't happen on every form but I have noticed it on at least 2 forms in the past few years.
Don't wait for the storm to pass but enjoy dancing in the rain.

Anne - they do rounding even when you use the paper forms...
OP, thanks so much for letting us know about this program.
I used it - it was no fuss, no muss - worked well, easy to figure out.
