I'm wondering if anybody might know why some people have the instant addition of bonus points on personalized coupons (i.e. 8000 WUS $30 on food, 8000 WUS $30 on OTC medications, etc.) and others have the delayed addition. Mine seem to always be delayed and I am not sure why, when I see so many others getting ones that are added instantly

That's what mine are like too:
18,500 WUS $75, 20x the points WUS $50, and the 4000 points no purchase necessary I got for my birthday all award points the next month.
8000 WUS $30 on food and snacks/OTC medication/etc. are instant.
I get a mix of the two - the points awarded later, and the instant points.

I have had 8000 WUS $50 that were points added later, and I'm pretty sure the OTC one last week was also to be added later (didn't use it). Have either of you used a 18500 WUS $75 and used a lot of coupons to bring down the OOP but still earned the points? I want to do this tomorrow but because they aren't instant I'm a bit wary of it.

I have not had a 8000 WUS $50 coupon, the most I've had is $30 and it's only ever been on food and snacks. My DM has has spends on OTC and it didn't indicate points we be awarded later (she didn't use it). Also she's had one where it was 4000 WUS $30 on anything in store - I believe that one might have been awarded the next month.
I haven't used the 18500 with coupons - usually my coupons like that correspond to points promo weekends, so I don't bother.
That being said, you will be fine. They look at your base points, not your total amount spent. So as long as your base points are at least 750 you'll be fine. I've done this with the mail out coupons.

Oh, I should add that they have to be manufacturer's coupons for $$ off, not FPC, B1G1, or the personalized email ones.

I received a 8000 points with $30 purchase in food & snacks coupon.
I've used this coupon with 20x point events and usually its been automatically added on my receipt.
However, on Saturday it was not automatically added. The lady on the phone said that the 8000 point coupon cannot be combined with the 20x the points event (even though it has worked before).
Anyone else experience this during this past 20x event?

I actually spent over $30 (after coupons) so I haven't been able to figure out why I didn't get it. I am thinking that it could be the products that I purchased are not considered food items?
2 Fiber 1 Cereals $6.98 - $1.50 manufacturers coupon
Billy Bee Honey $4.99
Dempsters Bread $2.99
Nature Valley Bar $1.77
Ritz Crackers $1.49 - $1.00 SDM Coupon
2 STarbucks VIA Coffee $11.98
Everyday market Trail Mix $2.49
Campbells Soup Pay $.49 SDM Coupon
Total: $30.68 after all coupons

It looks like you might have gotten the 8000 for $30 and not the 20x wus $50
14+5+3+2+.49+24+2.49+.49 = 51.50
Minus 7c +6c +23c =36c
Hmm these were tthe exact amounts charged on the receipt?

Those were the food items that were charged on my receipt. I also purchased non-food items. ie. Toilet paper making my total over $50.
I did receive the 20x the points, but in the past I have received BOTH the 20x points plus the 8000 bonus points during 20x point days.
I tried calling but the CS said I optimum offers cannot be combined. Couldn't argue with that one even though it has worked in the past.Last edited by jsmile; Sun, Mar 23rd, 2014 at 06:21 PM.
