Get out a tissue! Just happened to come across this, and am I ever glad I did.
It's both heartbreaking, but mostly heartwarming.
Acceptance, beauty, loving one's self - through all types of women, body sizes, cancer survivors, etc.
"You & I (Nobody In The World)"
You fix your make up, just so
Guess you don't know, that you're beautiful
Try on every dress that you own
You were fine in my eyes a half hour ago
And if your mirror won't make it any clearer I'll
Be the one to let you know
Out of all of the girls
You're my one and only girl
Ain't nobody in the world tonight
All of the stars, you make them shine like they were ours
Ain't nobody in the world but you and I
You and I
Ain't nobody in the world but you and I
You stop the room when we walk in
Spotlight's on everybody's staring
Tell all of these boys they're wasting their time
Stop standing in line, 'cause you're all mine
And this evening I won't let the feeling die
I never wanna leave your side
...You keep wondering if you're what I'm wanting
You don't even have to try
...All of the stars, they don't shine brighter than you areLast edited by Natalka; Tue, Aug 19th, 2014 at 03:21 PM.

Rita Pierson: Every kid needs a champion

It's a teacher talking to teachers, but is also useful for parents to get a glimpse into how good teachers teach.

Michelle Knight. One of the young ladies who was kidnapped by Ariel Castro and luckily found. I watched her on Dr. Phil a few times. She's feisty, a fighter and making strides despite what she endured.

Wow, it's all about perspective - what an amazing girl!
17-year-old Claire Wineland. She's suffering from cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system and requires treatments that take up to four hours a day. But Claire refuses to let it get her down or have others feel sorry for her: She started a YouTube channel, The Clarity Project, where she shares videos about her everyday life so that she can break down the barriers that people tend to have with people who are living with an illness.
Her FB page - amazing!

I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Telemiracle 39 was held this past weekend in Saskatoon. It's a telethon, raising money for the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation, which helps families of children with disabilities and people with special needs in Saskatchewan.
This year's telethon raised a total of more than $4.3 million.
There's always an array of stars, with lots of local talent as well.
A giant highlight has always been the presence of Bob McGrath - yes, of Sesame Street fame. He has only missed one show since 1977.
Sunday was declared Bob McGrath Day in Saskatoon.
However, at 82, he's decided this was his last Telemiracle; he wants to spend more time with his wife, do some travelling.
Bob and Beverley Mahood
Tribute video to him
