Because a $5 GC can be used on pretty much ANYTHING with no time limit, while an FPC is a piece of paper (usually obtained for free) that is generally only good on one product for a limited amount of time.
Personally, for me it depends on the FPC, but generally speaking I wouldn't trade a $5 GC for $10 in fpcs. When you factor in postage and risk factor it just isn't worth it in my opinion. Buying a $5 GC + $0.95 postage = almost $6 for $10 in fpcs? When you add in risk factor - ie. if your envie goes "missing", you're spending another $6 to replace then you're at almost $12 for $10 in fpcs. Doesn't make sense to me personally.

The other side of the trade also has to mail the fpc's.......again, it depends on the value. When posting suggestions, IMO it's best and more helpful to clarify.....i.e. FPC's with a value of XX instead of just saying 4 FPC's......I mean that could be anything from $2 per FPC to $20 per FPC.......
and also there was no mention of what G/C it was.....could have been Indigo, which limits where/what you can spend it. When making suggestions, it's good to be as clear as possible.Last edited by redhdlois; Tue, Jul 21st, 2015 at 03:36 PM.

Does it make a difference if stacking will be involved.
For example
The coupons wanted are
x10 save $3 off any Almay purchase Dec 31 2015 (28724025)
x10 save $3 off any Almay purchase Dec 31 2015 (28724184)
It's not just one upc it's two different upcs which works out to $6 off each product purchased 10 times.

The stacking rules vary so much (some requiring two different forms, say tearpad and magazine rather than just different UPCs) that unless the trader offers a better value due to stacking, I don't even think about it in value terms

As long as the upc is different it doesn't matter the source of the coupon as long as the coupon complies with stacking policy. I checked and it does. I've been a stacker for a few years now. On the LD website it shows the stores have the items on sale and with the coupons they would be basically free.
Think I will just trade them for regular coupons.
Thanks for the help

In general (for any PINs) you look at the value of the item you get, divide by number of PINs and use FPC/HV rate
