You have to try Poême by Lancôme! It's the perfect blend of sweet and sensual. Also I find the head and base notes remain pretty consistent which is great when you like a perfume in the first few seconds you smell it. This isn't usually the case with cheaper perfumes. You really need to go different times, dab some on your pulse points, walk around, smell - see how each reacts with your chemistry. They smell differently when they are first put on, then after some time, different notes come out.

I can't wear the 'trendy' fragrances, they just don't go with my body chemistry.

exactly. i tried 1 week ago a perfume. just for fun i put it on. i didn't like it very much. then i went back home, in the car i sniffed again and i fell in love with it. within 10 minutes the scent changed completely while on my skin. guess what...i went back and bought it.
