I've heard ads on the radio recently for a pizza shop selling pizza in 'cone' form. Sounds like something I want to try making, although the sharp cut cans aren't ideal. Anyone have another idea for a baking receptacle? http://m.instructables.com/id/pizza-cones/?ALLSTEPS

Not sure how well it will do for the pizza cones, but I like the homemade tortilla idea. The ice cream cone idea sounds great, but I hate to waste the cones after!

I buy tortillas regularly, most recently been using them on my Cuisinart Griddler. I put some olive oil on a plate, put the tortilla on top and put some cooked chicken (usually thighs since that's what I almost always buy), salsa, a pinch of taco seasoning and a bit of shredded cheese in the middle, then fold in the sides all around so it's kind of hexagon shaped (inspired by the Taco Bell Crunchwrap). The Griddler lets me press down on the top so it doesn't come unfolded. Cook until it's all nice and brown and crunchy on the outside. I did one this morning with eggs, cheese and salsa; need to work on my recipe for that one, but still looks nifty.

Ouch...to spend $25 on a set seems frivolous...to me, anyway...for the number of times I'd personally use it, anyway. I love the idea of the tortillas (homemade or not) and for the price of dollar store icecream cones, I think it's still cheaper than buying that "kit"...jmho..I'm cheap.

Yes, I'm still on the hunt to find another way, I don't need most of the stuff that comes in that kit and don't want to spend $25!
