There's always the Wet Coast.... many Canadian's have immigrated there forcing housing costs up. It's popular with retirees.

I am trying to find the bright spot in a nice April snow without a car, meaning standing around waiting for a bus, and I think I might have found it! Getting to put on a nice winter hat means not having to do anything with my hair this morning

Aaaahhhh. Lemons, smemons. They are on sale at Food Basics along with Florida strawberries and New Zealand kiwi. But California doesn't have our Ontario autumn with
umteen varieties of apples,
5 types of squash,
rutabagas, turnips,
rhubarb,
dill cukes for pickling,
peppers,
tomatoes for making sauce (you can buy by the case,
sour cherries (you can buy by the pail,
peaches, nectarines;
asparagus and strawberries at another time.
Boy, getting hungry now.

Trapped inside?
Well his grammy would say, "when I was a child we walked to school, in a snow storm, uphill, both ways; they use to put children outside to play in the snow, after breakfast, feed them lunch, then back outside and take them in for dinner. "
Oh torontogal, what have you done! This thread. It's alive!Last edited by Shwa Girl; Tue, Apr 15th, 2014 at 03:59 PM.
