Amazon.ca:Ouku Quartz Mens/Ladies Analog Wrist Watchs $4-$5 W/FS No Tax

Amazon.ca has this, and a bunch of other cheap mens and ladies watches for $3-$5 and more with free shipping and no tax. These do show shipped from China, but there are no taxes or duties payable on sub $20 foreign purchases in Canada. This is an Amazon marketplace item, so you are buying from a third party through Amazon. Amazon does have an Ebay like complaint process to guarantee these transactions though. I just got this one and it came early, and as advertised, by regular mail with no taxes or Duty owing. I can't say how the others will look, but my first impressions of this one are very good. The finish on the casing is clean and unblemished, lettering on the face is clean, shiny, and detailed, the movement seems smooth and quiet. Strangely it arrived showing the correct time here, although it was in what appeared to be a factory, sealed bag, a time zone co-incidence of some kind, but in my mind a good sign that the movement is accurate, if it has been running since it was manufactured. The band, although not real leather as specified, does look good. It has enough texture to pass for leather, the colour is right and it seems sturdy.
Overall I am very happy with the purchase, we'll see how durability and battery life pan out, but I am optimistic so far. It can definitely pass for a $200 watch IMO.

I was not expecting too much for $5 either, but the one that I received was much better than I was expecting. I'm sure there is going to be varying quality in this price range, so I guess we'll just have to see how they are model by model. I actually have a different Mens, and a Ladies, model coming, so I'll post what they look like when they get here.

Just a reminder not to order over $20 on one order, or you might have to pay Canadian Taxes and duty on it. That might also necessitate a trip to the local post office to pay and pick up instead of just getting it home delivered.
