Her info is posted in her profile on here, so I do not believe she is/was trying to hard to hide her identity. She could have used an alias & went about this in a very different way if she was trying to be underhanded.

Hi Rock.
It's not the member that's the issue. It's that this is research and surveying. When you do research and surveying you have do disclose so people have a choice to participate or not, and know what exactly they are doing. Also any findings cannot be disclosed, legally unless the participants have consented before.

I agree that she is "trying" to gain info (for free) without legal consent, but she has disclosed her intentions in the post. (I did not see the unedited version) By replying to the questions, in a sense I believe we are or would be giving our consent for her to publish them. It's good that research companies want to know what our motives are for completing surveys (although I'm guessing one reason tops the list big time), I think it was done in the wrong forum. A focus group invite where we could legally consent to having our opinions published would have been a better way of going about it.
