Some of you may shudder when they here the click of the shutter, and some of you may flock to the camera...
Do you like being in photos?
...do you mind candid photos, or would you prefer to be notified when you're about to be captured?
Hope Dr. Alicia, and all you HIMYM fans out there appreciate the graphic for today !

Im not photogenic, I dont take naturally good photos (my kids, on the other hand, flock to the camera and I have yet to see a bad photo of them - must get it from dh). If I am forced to be in a photo, I find a place somewhere in the background where I can peek out with a smile, otherwise, I run and hide from cameras.

My DD is a camera hog, my DS not so much. I try to avoid it but when you have kids they want pics. taken with you so I indulge, just like I put on a bathing suit and go in the pool for them . The things we do for our kids .

Hey... looks like I just need a link to remind me to come around.
I don't love being in photos... but it isn't completely horrendous either. Sometimes I can be photogenic, but most of the time if I know there is a camera on me I make a face (or, perhaps that's just the way my face is!).

I'm not a fan of having my photo taken. If someone takes a photo I would rather it be random and quick. I'm not into posing lol. Hide in the background of a photo.

I'm not very photogenic either. I'm good in candid shots but when I have to pose they turn out awful. So, I obviously prefer candid shots where I don't know they're being taken. Those usually turn out well.
DD seems to have inherited that trait from me. We usually get a good pose after about 10-15 not so good ones. DS, on the other hand takes after DH. It's almost impossible for them to have a bad picture. lol

I always enjoyed trying to capture the family pics we took of the kids and us, but now not so much. As teens and young adults they scowl more than smile, so why bother?
Also, why is it that out of say 6 shots taken SOMEONE in each pic has their head down/turned or finger in their nose/ maybe doing rabbit ears behind a sibling?
Photogenic? As always it depends, I've been both horrified and happy with different pics of myself. I am way less critical of others.

yep. same here.. however i've learned how to 'pose' to get the best shots.
slightly turned to the side. you know the drill, chest out, gutt in.
chin slightly up to reduce doubles.
and just a slight grin them smile.
and that's while im taking the picBe Strong

I like modelling and photography. However I hate 'selfies' and being in photos for family gatherings, birthdays etc

I find it odd that so many (especially women) like to be in horrible looking iPhone photos, but as soon as you pull out a Nikon 800 with high end 200mm portrait lens, they are full of fear!
Anyone can look great when an experienced photographer is doing your photos. Just be natural and enjoy the experience and if you don't like the pics, just delete them!
BTW.... I HATE being in photos LOL!
