Sobey's on Queenston Rd shutting down June 28 and then reopening after renovation to Fresh Co. And then heard today for the manager on Fortinos who lives in my building - by the fall/winter No Frills Superstore.
I am glad cause Fortinos is over priced same with Sobeys. I hope No Frills super store does the PC Points. This thread is currently associated with: Fortinos, FreshCo, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Sobeys

What do you mean No Frills Superstore? These are two different stores. And which location would this be?

all he told me it was a No Frills Superstore but I think he meant the Real Canadian Superstore. That is why they are fixing up the store at Fiesta because Fortinos at Eastgate will be gone.

Interesting. The Fortino's at Fiesta is ancient, and the whole plaza is being updated. Haven't heard of any plans to do away with the one at Eastgate as a result. That's the highest traffic one in the city. Fortinos may be pricey, but they aren't hurting for business.

From what I heard, Fortinos had some deal with Loblaws not to bring RCSS here - I really hope that has changed

I will shop there a lot more if it is a FreshCo too, one stop shopping in that corner, they just need to replace Rexall with SDM
Since the new No Frills is opening beside Target, I don't think they would change Eastgate to a No Frills (even some kind of super one)

the produce manger I think lives on the 7th floor of my building and I will ask him for more details. I was coming home from Fortinos and he was sitting outside - he said No Frills is hiring now for the one by Target and that he was told Fortinos will be leaving Eastgate Mall. I am just happy for Fresh Co because I hate going to the one on Barton Street I don't like there.
I was at Sobey's today - lots of bare shelves but nothing on sale yet - no fish and barely any meat. I hope the one on the mountain doesn't close cause I have over $60 Sobey's points

I am more likely to use the one in Burlington than Ancaster, I will trade mine in for whatever rather than waste them
