RCSS don't price match items that are 2/$3, B1G1F, or any small retailer.

I went there today to pm the Starbucks Frappuccino at Season's (Brampton) for 2/$3 and they wouldn't let me...

I only go there to PM fruits/vegetables, but recently they have posted signs that they don't pm certain fruits/vegetables item due to size...

I think it depends on the store. Mine has always price matched 2/xx with no issues with no individual price listed but I know a lot of people on here have had issues with that.

That has been their policy all along.
Of course, as it is with most stores, YMMV - some stores are willing to do the math for multi-buys.

But it definitely sucks when you aren't aware of that and take the time to PM.

    From their website:

    * We Price Match in-stock identical products and comparable control brands (comparable as determined solely by us). We do not match competitor 'multi-buys' (eg. 2 for $4); 'spend/buy x get x'; 'Free'; discounts obtained through loyalty programs, clearance sales, rebates, double/triple coupons and random promotions (scratch & save)

Funny, I've never had a problem matching multi-buys at my store.

most price match policies exclude multi-buys, unless it also states a price point. Like for example 2/$3 or $1.50 each. But as always, this may not be strictly enforced, a certain cashier may not fully know the policy, or even care lol, etc, etc.

My RCSS used to never care about PM'ing multi-buys and were so stringent on only local flyers that you actually had the flyer for. Now they've flopped the other way and won't do multi-buys unless you are buying the correct amount of what is listed (6/$10, you have to buy the full 6) but they will price match small fry stores on your smartphone.

I'm not sure which way I prefered but since there are many more options for me to shop at it doesn't bother me so much.

I rarely shop at RCSS (no familiar with their PM policy), but last time I did I wanted to PM watermelon.
They weren't able to due to the grade of fruit they carried- it was a lot better/larger than say, Walmart or No Frills.

i think it can depend on the location.. i've had some stores having no issues with the 2 for $4 and only buy one.. i've also had stores allow it BUT i have to buy it in the multiples.. have i have had some deny it

I have been to two of the RCSS in Mississauga and they both don't match multiple buys (2 for 4 or any such quantity) even when you buy multiples.

I also dont shop at RCSS, but have heard a similar line of reasoning, especially when it comes to price matching meats.

So what is the logic behind not wanting to price match multi-buys? I don't see the difference?

Does anyone know if RCSS will pm from my cell phone or do I need a paper copy? Walmart lets me pm from my phone but the produce there isn't great

I believe it is because 3/$5 ensures 'volume' for the retailer. If people trying to price match and only buy one item, it's not a 'fair' PM. If people are PMing and buying three, I don't get it either.
    So many coupons....so little time!
