My offers seem to always combine when I have a week long offer that isn't "spend on anything", but is for medication or food and snacks or candy and snacks specifically. So, I've been able to double up on points by using a one-day only threshold offer with a threshold offer for a specific type of item. Once I had 3,000 WUS $10 of food and snacks (weeklong) and 3,000 WUS $10 on candy and snacks (one day). I spent $10 and got 6,000 points! :D

There are glitches that may work and may not work. If you have several offers loaded, god only knows what can happen. If you DON'T get the minimum amount of points that you should have earned in a transaction, but have earned points in the past through a glitch, what you need to ask yourself, is do you want to call/email and have your card audited for "technical glitches?" That is the question lol. You may have to gamble and LOSE lol.

I had two coupons on my card last week- 8000 BP for $30 on OTC medicines (weekly coupon) and 16000 BP for $60 on anything (Friday coupon). After reading the comments here, I planned my shopping trip to see if both of them get redeemed in one shopping- I needed some medicines anyways and wouldn't have really cared if I received only 16000 BP and not 8000 BP. I noted down the promotional codes from last time when I had these coupons. When the transaction finally went through, both the coupons loaded on the screen and also appeared in the printed receipt but I received points for the higher-value coupon (i.e. 16000 + bunch of individual products points). After I came home, I verified that both the coupons did get redeemed in my online account.
So, this didn't work for me-but as I said, I wasn't really taking any risk here. Normally, when I have two such coupons that I intend to use, I redeem the lower value coupon first, then the higher value one (think 3000BP WUS $10 on food/snacks and 18500BP WUS $75 on anything).
In my three months of visiting SDM, I have learnt that
(1) what has worked for others online might not work for everyone
(2) Every location is extremely different in how their systems work, how the employees behave, how often they restock during the week (especially for those Wednesday coupons), what items they keep, whether they take coupons, how crowded the stores are during the weekdays- if you find a good one, stick to that location. So far, I have visited 8-10 locations and definitely have a priority order in which I would visit them
(3) It is better to just make sure that your coupons loaded in the store itself than to call the helpline- helpline has always added the points but it takes forever to get through and at times, the customer service reps are not aware of the promotions they are running and it gets very difficult to 'teach' them (I once spent 15 minutes trying to get a rep navigate through SDM's own website to show the BP promotions)
In a nutshell, I am definitely saving money compared to the stores I used to do bulk of my shopping at (CostCo/Loblaws- closest Walmart is pretty far) and that is good enough for me without trying to 'optimize' the shoppers optimum program!
Thanks to SmartCanucks and all the people here for being so helpful I used to walk into SDM earlier only when absolutely necessary and secretly wonder who would shop at such inflated rates and now I go there at least once every week.
EDIT: Sorry if I rambled on about obvious things. I just kept writing without realizing how long it was.

My best shop was online at beautyboutique:
20x pts wus $50 (today only)
22,000 wus $100 (first purchase on beautyboutique.ca)
10x pts wus $75 on Estee Lauder
Bought $106 of EL products, will get 52,740 pts (worth about $88). I really did not need anything but this was too good to pass up.

Was this on the same receipt, did you get 6000 bp for this on one receipt? I just want to know if i can earn the 3k bp more than once on the same optimum card.
I bought loreal before on my optimum card back in Jan and then this past week, I bought another 3 loreal but the bonus 3k points didn't show up on my receipt (the cashier tried with and without coupons for me) so I had to email shoppers (they were so fast with their reply and added the 3k points manually for me).
thanks.

I am not sure about these being combinable, although when I entered the code "BOUTIQUE" in the morning, it showed it would add 22000 to my account in March. I ended up not ordering because (A) I have ordered from beauty boutique before (so not my first time- every reason for them to not add these points to my account) and (B) I am not a big fan of delayed addition of points because as per their stated policy, these offers should ideally not combine- again, another reason for them to not add the points. And I didn't want to take that chance. May be I would revisit my cart later in the night and order anyways without the code!
But I have an answer to your second question: the points get added the instant the delivery reaches your door and someone signs it. I live in a condo and the moment it reaches our concierge desk/ Canada Post tracking shows delivered, my points get added instantly. Hope this helps! Just one thing though- the site has quite a few glitches and I have had to contact the BB IT help desk a couple of times to correct things (not related to points- just buggy website).
