I had to once but t was a sdm exclusive hand cream. Cashoer had to call a manager to get it approved.

I've tried, with Life Brand products, baby shower gifts that I didn't need. It was like pulling teeth. Finally succeeded, but it wasn't easy. That was eight years ago, I think it's only gotten worse since then.

Nope, they seem kinda strict. One store I find really good for refunding without a receipt is Great Canadian Superstore. Most of the time they give you cash, sometimes they give a gift card, and other times they tell you to pick out something else in the store for equal value and they will just do an exchange. I've only misplaced my receipts a couple of times and they didn't give me any hassle at all. Great store !

I had return it successfully at my local Sdm,without any hassle but I returned it only one time....they all know me that's why it was not a big issue but I got exchange the product and the csm also gave me the new receipt,according to their policy if a store accept the item without receipt,only exchange can be offered and the receipt for new product is not issued to the customer.

Yes, I saw their site and already printed that out so that if I decide to return, I'll take that with me.

In any case, if I return the items to SDM, I'll keep this topic updated.

There are always posts on SC about people who have issues returning items, thats why you need the policy
and she only said she saw the policy after I posted

Update:
Yes, I returned some mascara (new, unopened) to SDM without a receipt and received in-store credit card (gift card). But had to show their return policy (a print-out) as a cashier told they don't accept returns without receipts (only Life Brand items). But after that she called their manager, and I had no problems at all.
