I also instinctively walk on the left when I am with my kids. A barrier to keep them from bolting or falling on the street.

My folks always told me it was because of the chamber pot. Cannot get that image out of my head

"Why Men Walk on the Outside of a Woman. "In 16th-century England, the habit of emptying chamber pots out of upper-story windows into the gutter made a city stroll so hazardous that gentlemen gallantly took the side nearest the curb when walking with their ladies--a position they have assumed ever since, without quite knowing why."

ALL of those, as well as: being an ignorant, egotistical, self-centred SOB is not yet considered a "handicap". Park somewhere else!!

I really think there should be big window stickers we can plaster on the driver's front window that says just that! I'd love to see the creep trying to scrape it off before he can get out! Yes, it'll take time is that spot, but imagine the lesson he's teaching every other ignorant driver!

It really annoys me when I see this. In fact there was even a study I read that showed many parents do this when alone with their child. Precious time time to be connecting, listening, teaching, playing. So sad.
I just stop talking until they finish their call or text.
I don't want to be rude or anything

Tie a knot. It's amazing how many things you can do with this skill.
