DH, DS and I went for a two hour hike today, on trails we've done before. I had a backpack on, DS and DH would reach into it once in a while for snacks/drinks.
After we came out of the woods, we went to Burger King for lunch. I removed my backpack to get my wallet out. Several zippers are open from my family digging things out and not closing it. And my wallet? GONE! It's somewhere on the @#&#@@! trail! It's about 25+ outside right now, and I'm on my way back to look for it, although the chances are very slim of me going to the same spots we were in. AUGH!! 😣This thread is currently associated with: Burger King

I walked an hour on the trail, think I covered most of the areas we were in (except when we went off-trail) and no luck. I figure one of three things happened:
1. Wallet was lost in off-trail area and it will never be found.
2. Wallet was lost in the middle of the trail and someone has found it and will be contacting me.
3. Wallet was lost in the middle of the trail and someone has found it and is trying (unsuccessfully) go to shopping with it.
Obviously I'm hoping for option 2!
Looking on the bright side, my Fitbit says that I've walked over 11,000 steps today, I'm sure that extra hour of walking helped a lot.

I had a similar situation. Family member opened backpack and said she closed the zipper. Hours later I discovered 6 inch opening. She said the zipper got stuck..... huh? And you said nothing... I don't trust her ever again. It appears her priorities is only for herself.
Whenever I see a stranger with an open zipper (ie on the bus), I make them aware how big the opening is. Sometimes it's an accident, sometimes the owner wants quick access to the contents.Last edited by xlxo; Sun, Jul 20th, 2014 at 03:24 PM.

its a pain replacing ids , credit cards etc. I hope you find it ASAP, otherwise cancel your CC's , debit cards etc if they were inside..don't wait for someone to return them.
i once lost my wallet along with house keys. i changed the locks to my house ASAP as I figured if someone finds the keys along with my id with my home address on it, the can even rob my house

I'm sorry you didn't find your wallet. What a hassle to replace all of the contents.

That is really crappy, a bad ending to a great day. Hope you got everything cancelled and it wasn't too complicated.
