lol these are good "problems" to have. Oh Lynn I'm sooooo tired today. My hubby and I spent 8 hrs in the ER with my Mom. It was her turn this time. lol She had a severe nosebleed - severe. She's had them before and they cauterize them. Well lastnight was fun. First they put what amounted to a plastic clothes pin on her nose lol which she complained hurt so she took it off and since she has bronchitis (and coughing sets off the bleeding) it made for an interesting evening. They gave her oxygen in her nose since she was swallowing so much blood and finding it hard to breathe. Well don't you know after they fix her up and we finally break free from the hospital we aren't even out the door and she screams "I'm bleeding!" I look at her nose and say "no you're not, what do you mean you're bleeding?" Her coat is soaked. Where they took the IV out bled through. *sighs* We didn't get back until 5:30 this morning and I already want a nap, so that's on my radar for today. But I'm determined to get a walk in even though it looks and feels like it's going to rain.

My MRI is Nov 1 and I meet with my Oncologist on Nov 17. So I get results in....well still about a month. lol Gosh. Time is going to go slow because I want the results.

I hope you get some sunny weather...and some warmth. I'm SO over Fall already. I have a feeling it's going to be a LONG few seasons before spring.

Good heavens, your poor Mom! How often does this happen? Does anyone know why?
I hope you got some rest today and got out for some fresh air. I got bundled up and escorted Jenny to the back yard for a bit of fresh air, too, but having done her business she decided there's "fresh" and there's "too fresh".
So in we went. It was drizzly, but she did have her yellow slicker on!
Have a lovely, quiet evening, Tara...

This is her 3rd one in the last 2 months, luckily the one time she was in her Drs office and he could cauterize it right there when it happened. I did get out and get a walk. Yay! It feels nice even though I feel like crap. Been this way since before I got home from treatment but we suspected the dexamethasone. Well I've been off of that for 2 weeks now. I think there is something wrong with my stomach. Lining of my stomach? Ulcer? who knows. I made an appointment with my Dr for Thursday to see him. It's constantly burning, no matter what I eat or drink, even if I just sip water. Or like right now I haven't touched anything today and it's just burning. My loss of appetite is insane that everytime I take 2 or 3 bites of food I push the rest to my husband who says "you really need to speak to someone about that." to which I reply "it'll pass". lol Again, don't want to be a hypochondriac, but it's getting a bit too bad and now I'm starting to lose weight. Which if I was doing healthfully I wouldn't complain, but obviously this isn't the right way to do it. Water shouldn't make your stomach burn, right?

Hey! You escorted Jenny out, that means you're up and about, this is good! Too bad the weather isn't nicer though. But yay for getting up and out! Darnit. Can you believe I checked our 14 day forecast here and it showed snow. Snow? ARGH! I'm not ready for this Lynn.

Good morning, Tara....no. I don't think water should burn your tummy. I'm relieved you're seeing your doctor in a couple of days. Geez, this is just what you need, isn't it? And with what you've been through, no one would think you're being overly cautious. I imagine he or she will send you for tests for your tummy-aches....with the drugs you've had to take it wouldn't surprise me if an ulcer showed up, which can easily be treated. I have a flare-up now and then, but certainly not as severe as you're experiencing.
I hope you get relief very soon. Stress can play a pretty big role in aggravating thigs also and heaven knows you've had your share!

As for s#ow (we're not supposed to use 4-letter words here), I've heard that we've had a few flakes recently, but thank goodness they had the good sense to leave immediately. Yes, I'm able to wander into the backyard for Jenny's sake when my hubby is out, but sheesh, what an ordeal now that it's colder! I can tell you that won't be happening when I have to put a jacket, hat, mittens and boots on! I really, really hate winter. Not winter, exactly, it's the s#ow. A little would be acceptable, but when my hubby has to drag out the snowblower and plow the driveway, shovel the walkway, it's not.

Well...off to hop into a shower. I can't wait to get off that slide into the tub chair and actually stand in it once again. But that's still a way off, until I can put more weight on that leg to step into it.

It's actually sunny here today, so I hope it's the same for you and that you can enjoy a nice, refreshing stroll.

    Take care, Sweetheart.....gentle hugs....

Tara, Tara,Tara, I've been gone for a few months and decided today was the day I would check in again. I was sorry to see what you are going through again. You are such a positive influence on most of us even with all the trial you're facing. You have my prayers and good thoughts Hugs to you. As for your mother , Has she ever been checked for HHT. This is a bleeding disorder. My sister had it.

Well I put seeing the Dr off for a bit to see if being off the Dexamethasone helped, since it didn't I figured I should haul butt and go in. There's a limit to the pain I''ll endure. Maybe if we all put our collective thoughts together we can keep that nasty 4 letter word at Bay this year? We could give it a try? Couldn't hurt. Don't you feel all handicapped with those tub chairs? lol I've had one since my surgery because my head issues give me balance issues, I'm such a nerd. It sucks but it keeps you safe! But it will be nice when you graduate! You have a good evening. I might turn the fireplace on tonight it's already 6 but it's raining and damp and I don't like it. Pffft.

Judstir! So nice to see you, how have you been? Thank you for the prayers and good thoughts they are so very much appreciated. As for my Mom she has not been checked for HHT, but after looking it up I will have her mention it to her Dr. Thank you! She is seeing a Nephrologist now but other than diagnosing her with resistant hypertension that's all he's got. But her legs are swollen something terrible and I read that while looking up the HHT so thanks for that. We're falling apart in this house but we're doing it together. lol

I love that quote Lynn! But I kinda am falling apart. Physically lol

I am back from the Drs and wait for it..............Gastritis. Caused by non other than...... well the culprits are the Chemo and Dexamethasone. The 2 drugs are known to cause it and I started with the symptoms 2 only days into treatment, they just got worse as it went on. Blah. I just "sat" on my symptoms because I figured after the dex was done it would go away. I was wrong. Anyways, I am on Tecta for 1 week and if my symptoms don't get any better he is going to scope me to look a little further into it all.

Oh, like you need this!!! But, thank goodness you got to your doctor and he knew what it is and how to treat it. I hope your medication works in lickety-split time, Tara...

As for moi, I got my surgery date: Nov 7th. I have to go for pre-testing on Oct 29th, soooo....here we go! I really really don't like the feeling of 'going under', but if this means I'll walk by Christmas (my plan), then I'm in.

Well...it's all good. Lets hope the meds work and I don't need a scope! As for you, yay?! This is good right? Surgery is a good thing? Yes I remember it was! And walking by Christmas will be great! You can buy yourself some pretty furry boots for the occasion

Furry boots, perhaps.....stilettos, probably never again! Lol! Not that I wore them since my mid-forties!
Yes, it's a good thing, Tara, scary, but good. It should relieve the pain I'm in, just below my knee, and let me get on with walking one day! Early happy, relaxing weekend, Sweetie-pie...

Sooo I've been sick, I blame my Mom. No seriously, she gave me Bronchitis! I told her I can't afford to get sick, but does she listen? NOOOO. She was actually sick with a "simple virus" 2 days before I came home for treatment and I knew it would turn into bronchitis on her, it did. Then I got it. Still battling it but I got checked for pneumonia and it hasn't morphed or anything so that's good.

On to my stomach. I'm still taking the tecta, I added Pepto in hopes it helps and I'm still suffering. So tomorrow I get an ultrasound on my gallbladder (Dr wants to rule out a problem there) and I'm awaiting the scope on my stomach. It's a good thing I have thorough Doctors. I also learned from my Optometrist today that I suffered Hemianopsia from my brain tumour. Just a clinical way of saying I lost left peripheral vision in both my left and my right eye, which could explain why I get disoriented easily. I kind of feel like a nerd but I also am happy that I'm getting things done and getting some answers or moving in the direction of answers.

I had a voicemail on my answering machine when I got home today from my Oncologists office wanting to reschedule my appointment with my Oncologist and I'm SO glad they called today and not Monday. My MRI is Saturday and if they called after my MRI I'd be thinking something showed up on it and they want me in earlier because of it. I'll call tomorrow morning and hopefully they just had a cancellation and can get me in earlier for my results! After such a long day of back to back to back Drs appointments today I needed to shop. I mean, what girl wouldn't? So I must share with you all my treasures. I can't believe I found these. I really can't. The only thing I'm sad about is that I couldn't find the Gene Simmons one!

    Hi Tara,
I saw this and thought of you.. . little Miss Feisty!
Am sorry to hear of all the troubles. Those chemo side effects are nasty. I hope you kick them to the curb in your usual SuperGirl way. . .
