So I'm trying to see how far I can stretch and re-stretch promo cards - I have $30 in cards from the anniversary sale where I bought only items where manufacturer items brought down my total - on the end on 3 transactions I spent around $21 per transaction with $5-6 of rebate items per transaction so after all that $41 got me back $30 in cards.

    Today I did:

    Transaction #1

1 Wet n' Clear Kids (only one left) pmed RCSS $4.98 - $5 Manufacturer coupon - no tax, I didn't realize this was a no-tax item?!
    2 Carlton Cards @ $3.69 - $2.50 Target Coupon - $2 Manufacturer coupon
    1 Carlton Card @ $3.99
1 Crayola Kids scissors $1 - $0.20 Target Coupon (forced manually as coupon says 20% off ANY Crayola item but isn't adjusting on Dollar Spot Items
1 Crayola 8 count crayons glitter $0.99 - $0.25 Target Coupon - specific to 'Pick your pack' crayons

Total $8.41 off gift card, got back $5 card for Carlton promotion - net gift card total $26.59

    Transaction #2

    2 Carlton Cards @ $3.69 - $2.50 Target Coupon - $2 Manufacturer coupon
    1 Carlton Card @ $3.99

Total $6.23 (the taxes don't make sense but I'll take it!) off gift card, got back $5 card for Carlton promotion - net gift card total $25.36

Your transactions/GC totals confused me, but it seems like you've been using them to your advantage, so great job on stretching that dollar

Target coupons, when scanned, discount the price of the item on which tax is pay. If an item is $5 and a $1 manufacturer coupon is used, tax still applies to the $5. If a $1 Target coupon is used ( again it has to be scanned) on a $5 item, you only pay tax on $4.

Right thanks - I sometimes find their receipts have so much info that I get a little lost!
