It should be more like what was the last thing I remembered, LOL! The last thing I forgot was to cancel my newspaper when we went away. Thank God for wonderful neighbours

If it doesn't get wrote down, there is a very good chance I will forget it! I usually have a list taped to the back of the front door if I need to remember something.
The last time I forgot was this weekend. I had a package to bring to a friend, who lives an hour away, that DH reminded me about twice that day and I still forgot it until we were 1/2 way there... it didn't get put on the list.*face palm*

Im forgetful - Im constantly making notes and lists in order to remember phone calls, stuff to do, stuff to shop for...
Im so forgetful, I have made shopping lists, and left them on the table when I leave for shopping..The average dog

A friend told me that someone in their home (teen) forgot to turn off a tap in an upstairs bathroom sink. Friend was watching TV below and saw the ceiling start to drip. They had to mop up the upstairs bathroom and repair the downstairs ceiling.

I forgot where I put my membership card for the gym. Like, I had it on Friday and I remember seeing it setting it somewhere *safe* at home and thinking at the time, "gee...I should move that." Because the spot was safe. Super safe. SO safe it cannot be located.
This wouldn't be a problem except, my lanyard also has my daughter's card on it too.
Which, wouldn't be a problem except that she lost her card twice in less than a month--and me--being the ever-so-helpful mother I am promptly a) harangued her about being responsible for the card and b) took away said card and put it with mine so she wouldn't lose it again.
...Because...and I quote... "I NEVER lose things."
Yeah.
So now I have some crow to eat. And two cards to find."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

All of the above.
I like to think I have a very selective memory, but it's more like a sieve.
It just occurred to me that...that's not entirely accurate! That would mean the good stuff stays and the yucky stuff goes down the drain!
But it's a comfort knowing I'm not alone.
Why on earth is my typing pad half on one side and half on the other side of this screen?! And tiny!
Isn't life a wonder? Lol!Last edited by Lynn49; Mon, Jul 28th, 2014 at 04:00 PM.

I keep forgetting to empty the dehumidifier downstairs. Luckily, it cuts itself off when it gets full. But then the humidity goes up again. Oy!

It wasn't a problem to get new cards. The ladies at the gym did it for us today so we're good to go again!
What's hardest was admitting to my daughter that I am... *gasp*... an imperfect human and maybe even sometimes a dolt who will now think twice before lecturing again lest I jinx myself once more. LOL.
It's all good though. DD embarrassed me thoroughly at the gym today by regaling the story to the desk staff so I think we are now considered "even.""Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle
