I took my niece last year. It was opening day so tickets were half price. She had her face painted for free and free pizza, cake, ice cream as well. I was surprised at how much free stuff you get. We did so much. It was an amazing day ! I highly recommend people go, lot's of fun for kids and adults.

Friday August 15-$8 at the gate for opening day only. Jeanne Beker will be on the City celebrity stage at 2 and 5pm to talk about fashion that day. I'd like to convince Mom to go with her friend on that day or otherwise get the CNE gift card tickets this weekend. The grocery stores and Pizza Pizza will sell them up to Aug 14 or while stock lasts.

The guidebook that came in the community paper bundle-the tiny print about the CNE guests with disabilities and 1 escort (if needed) entering free>policy will change in 2015. Just a heads up on that for SCers who know people that like to know where they go and if they have to pay for escort admission or not.

Heavy emphasis on taking public transit into the Ex is made in the guidebook. Mention of no TTC subway service on Aug 16&17 between St. Andrew's Station and Union Station though, the Gardiner lane reductions and limited parking for CNE. Note that Ontario Place is closed until 2017 but for those with concert tickets, they can still access the concert area.

There will be a First World War exhibit (100th anniversary) in the Direct Energy building's Heritage Court.

Warriors' Day Parade – August 16

GO honours our military heroes and thanks them for their service to our country.
Veterans attending the Warriors' Day Parade can ride, including them and a companion, for free on August 16. We ask that veterans wear or carry something to identify their military affiliation, whether it be uniform, medals or headwear.

Immediate family members of deceased veterans can also ride for free. Be sure to carry something to identify your relation to the late veteran, such as service papers or an identification card.

its only $ 11 for any day any time for the whole day

That's for admission as opposed to the $ 18 regular price..so I guess about 40 % savings.

Anyone can use at anytime of the day for all days. So you can give it to friends and family

Vehicle ParkingThere is a limited amount of vehicle parking available onsite at the CNE. Each lot has designated Wheel Chair parking spots.

On the menu:

• Fran’s: deep-fried Sriracha hot sauce, peanut butter and chocolate chips
• Bacon Nation: bacon-wrapped chicken sandwich marinated in Coca-Cola
• nitrogen-chilled sorbet
• deep-fried chocolate chicken
• apple pie-flavoured milkshakes
• corn-on-the-cob wrapped in bacon.

Banned:

There is no cronut burger this year. Hundreds got sick last year and some went to the hospital.
