Hi Horndogg, glad to hear you have come through chemo and radiotherapy OK. I was diagnosed in Sept 2013, had a lumpectomy op in Oct 2013 followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy. I understand what you went through with the burns. What tablets have you been prescribed? I take Artemisinin (no side effects at all) - I researched and decided this was the route I would follow as I did not want to take Letrozole for the next 5 years and have to put up with all the side effects. I had my 1st all clear in Oct 2014.
Good luck for June.

One year ago today was the day I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Monday I have a mammogram. I am a bit worried because of the unknown.

You never know what lies around the corner or may lie in wait,
Illnesses endeavour to take over & will even try to dictate,
You examine life in depth & with hope continue along,
Stories of endurance inspire; a brave nudge to be strong,
You do not live with cancer; “it” tries to live with you,
As “it” is most deserving of a heave-ho & a rather blunt adieu,
The burden & weight of sadness can almost pull down the sky,
For no logic can be grasped & fairness does not apply,
So unkind, unsophisticated & unmannerly; such audacity!
We know “it” has no standing when before the ethics committee,
When things like “it” slither into our lives it is a wake up call,
I wish “it” was an app - which no power could ever install!
Keep up the fight.

Hi everyone thanks to all of you for the continued support.
I went for a check up today everything is good. She said that because I did chemo and radiation my chances of the cancer returning is only 10-15%. I will still be tired and sore for quite a long time. But that is ok.Coin Out:
