If you enjoy/support community gardens, the local food movement, heirloom seeds, organic gardening, food security, etc, you might be interested in The Local Lawn Movement. I stumbled upon this project yesterday, and it looks great! The project is based in northern BC, not that far from where I live, but the idea can be applied anywhere. Wonderful perks for smaller contributions (including seeds, spices, and t-shirts) and airfare-and-lodging-provided holidays for the larger contributions!

I pledged for seeds...you can never have too many seeds! *L*
